After the success of last year, “Passi, sapori e stelle” returns to make the summer shine with five evenings dedicated to nature, thanks to night walks, good food and the starry sky!
Don’t you know what we are talking about? Do not worry! We will answer all your questions!
We have combined three of our favorite activities: trekking, tasting and observing the sky into one sensational experience; everyone can participate, the only requirement is the desire to discover our territory!!
You will walk through the most beautiful streets of Gambassi Terme, you will taste the typical products of our land and you will be with your nose up, fascinated by the stories about the stars, the moon and, why not, you can discover some legends that will make you speechless!
This year there will be five dedicated days: from June to October, from the beginning of summer to the first signs of autumn. You will see the landscape change as the seasons change. Totally immersed in nature, the noises of the city will disappear and you will be able to appreciate the flora and fauna of our region.

June 12th
June 12thWe will start on 12 June from Mommialla: built near some outcrops of thermal waters and known since before the year one thousand. Here you will cross the charming village with your gaze turned towards Volterra and the Val d’era. A simple excursion suitable for everyone, in the background the sky will change its colors: from sunset pink to night blue and the appearance of the first stars. You will not be able to avoid being with your nose up, perhaps in search of some particular constellation. Luca, the amateur astronomer of the “Le pleaidi” group, will help you in the celestial investigation. We certainly haven’t forgotten about the tasting! The La Taverna farm will delight you with an ad hoc menu. Bruschetta, spelled salad, cheeses and much more, all accompanied by their delicious spelled beer!
July 10th
July 10thThe second date is scheduled for 10 July and will see us walking again to discover the Forra aqueduct, among magical paths and bubbling waters, the fascinating work of early century hydraulic engineering will be revealed to your eyes. After the tiring walk, Osteria del Castagno will take care of surprising you with their preparations. Lying on the lawn, with picnic baskets close by, you will fill your stomach under a breathtaking sunset. With a full stomach and immersed in nature, you will be enchanted by the stories of Luca from the Le Pleiadi amateur astronomy group of the Anthos association of Certaldo, who will reveal some curiosities about the firmament.
August 7th
August 7thIn August, on the 7th to be precise, always accompanied by our friends from Greenbassi, you will “take a stroll” along the coast of San Vettore, until you reach the Benedictine monastery of the same name dating back to the 11th century. A visit to the convent is a must! You will get lost among the stone walls, between corridors full of history; you will take a real dip in the Middle Ages. When the last rays of the sun kiss the walls and hunger will be felt, Franca and Stefano from the Pietralta farm will take care of it. Excellent dishes accompanied by the wines of their production, a sensory journey that will make you want to never get up from the table. But the sky is waiting for you to show you all its beauties. As in previous dates, Luca will take care of accompanying you on this starry pilgrimage, making his knowledge available and allowing you to peek among his tools.
Summer may have come to an end, but not our appointments!
September 4th
September 4thOn September 4th we will be ready again for a new excursion, this time we will make you reach the hypothermal spring of the Bollori. It will be a night walk full of adventure! The Bollori are, in fact, in an area with a high concentration of thermal waters. The ancestral environment offers adventurers unique views! Ruins of mills, old mule tracks and sources of a now disused aqueduct are the elements that will make your experience unique. You will not believe your eyes, when the sunset will meet the water of the small geyser and together they will create splendid plays of light. But the surprises don’t end there, L’Osteria del Castagno will be ready for the second round! New delicious dishes will be ready to amaze your palate, thanks to the freshness of the ingredients. The seasons change as the sky changes, but even in September you can’t help but look up and enjoy the spectacle that only the moon and the stars are able to offer.
October 2nd
October 2ndLast, but not least, the date of October 2 that will bring the caravan of The Gambassi experience to the discovery of Cabbialla. From the historic center to unspoiled nature, you will be the protagonists of a fantastic journey. Immersed in the typical Tuscan scenery: rows of vineyards on one side and olive groves on the other. The sun slowly hides behind the hills, while the sky takes on all shades of pink. The journey will stop in front of Tenuta Sant’Ilario, ready to refresh the participants with delicious delicacies and wines of their production. Between a glass of red and one of white, don’t forget to look out on the terrace overlooking the green hills. After dinner, the night walk resumes, torches in hand you will head towards the archaeological excavations of Germagnana. After a series of ups and downs, you will arrive at the observation point, where Luca and his instruments will be waiting for you to tell you some curiosities about the sky.
