Before throwing itself into the Elsa River, the creek <\/span>Casciani<\/strong> <\/span>is accompanied by signs of the action of man who, for centuries, has used its waters. A few ruins of mills, splints, gore, charcoal kilns, mule tracks remain… And still an industrial bottling line and the springs of an old aqueduct. <\/p>\n

The <\/span>Bollori<\/strong> <\/span>are located in an area with a high concentration of thermal waters. It is a 23\u00b0 C water spring, made turbid by the presence of clay. In the past al used by local people for bathing and treatment of dermatological diseases of domestic animals. <\/p>\n

The gaseous emanations surrounding it contain hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide and minor gases. Gaseous emanations and tepid water still flow from an old exploratory well not far away. <\/p>\n

The hot springs that give Gambassi its name are manifested in nature throughout the entire territory of the <\/span>Benestare Park<\/a>, a naturalistic area straddling Gambassi and Montaione. In addition to the valley floor of the Casciani stream, mention should be made of the Luiano mineral spring, which was tried to be commercialized in the 20th century, its medicinal properties being well known. In the valley bottom of the Rio Sanguigno then springs the Pillo salsa water<\/strong>, the same water used by the <\/span>stabilimento termale<\/a> <\/span>of Gambassi.<\/p>\n
